Ever since that moment someone has been pushing it to the limit to see how fast they can take a curve and how close they can come to “losing control” while remaining in complete control of their vehicle. Even if you prefer to be the one behind the wheel to prove that you can handle that sports car or import better than anyone else in town, you can still enjoy the videos watching how well other drivers were able to manage the course. You could always prove your point by having a video camera trained on you and your car as you drift flawlessly into the curve and just as effortlessly make the reverse move to bring the vehicle back onto the straight. Technique is everything, both in the driving and in the camera operation, so you may have the thrill of making several runs at the course to get just the right angle from the photographer
As far as street racing, more than likely the first person to discover drifting found out about it the first time that they were racing through the streets of some small, unsuspecting town. Street racing is where every other type of wheeled racing got its start. We’ve all done it, that first car. You wanted to see what it would do and how it compared to all of the other cars in the area. Then you worked on it to make it faster, to make it handle better or make it safer, just in case you biffed. We all know what it’s like but the people that you will see here take it faster and farther than most of us ever dreamed of doing. For every person out there that who to show what they are made of and what they can do, there is someone holding a camera.
